Patti Pon Named First Policy Fellow at OCAD Cultural Policy Hub
Patti Pon, president and CEO of Calgary Arts Development, has joined OCAD University as the inaugural Cultural Policy Hub's Policy Fellow.
Her fellowship began March 3 and will continue through May 3, 2025.
“Pon made history as the first woman of colour elected to the Calgary Stampede board in 2021 and chairs the Agora Foundation. She is a founding member of the Asian Heritage Foundation (Southern Alberta) and served a nine-year term on Calgary Foundation’s board,” according to the news release.
“Pon has received the Queen Elizabeth II Platinum and Diamond Jubilee Medals and the 2013 Harry and Martha Cohen Award for her impact on Calgary’s theatre community.”
The Cultural Policy Hub is a national network of researchers, policymakers, artists and creators from across Canada. It supports cultural policymaking locally and nationally through research, convening and analysis. As the first Policy Fellow, she will help to drive change by engaging with the hub's network and the university community.
