The Centre is a public art gallery, museum and shop located just outside Calgary, overlooking the Alberta Foothills and Rocky Mountains. It is open to the public year round and offers a wide range of art exhibitions, museum displays, programming, art sales and special events. When I spotted the blue Mini, its tail pointed artfully to the sky in the rolling hills southwest of Calgary, I thought it might be the calling card for the Leighton Art Centre. But the car was not an art installation.
