The Leighton Art Centre is an Art Gallery, Museum and Arts Education Centre located on 80 acres of Foothills Fescue natural grasslands just outside of Calgary, near Millarville in Alberta’s Foothills County. Situated in A.C. Leighton and Barbara Leighton’s original home, the centre houses a vibrant display of Alberta’s artists, both past and present, and boasts excellent views of the Foothills and Rocky Mountains. Wed to Sun 10 am - 4 pm.

When I spotted the blue Mini, its tail pointed artfully to the sky in the rolling hills southwest of Calgary, I thought it might be the calling card for the Leighton Art Centre. But the car was not an art installation.
