There is a spiritual connection that happens when painting or experiencing a landscape on location. To understand the land one has to be part of it. Donna connects the Rocky Mountains through painting on location, sketching and doing small watercolours on backpacking hikes or combination of photography and watercolours. Donna attempts to communicate her interpretation of the land and emotionally connect the spirituality of that experience to her viewer.
