Out of the Darkness

Sherry Telle is a local artist and art instructor who has worked in one way or another in the arts for over 40 years. For this show Sherry has concentrated on her fascination with bringing out light from darkness with coloured pencil on black paper. This uses a method of layering transparent colours, up to 20 different ones, to get the desired effect. In addition, on display are playful birds and landscapes using a technique of watercolours applied with a palette knife creating loose and vibrant finished paintings.

Framed on Fifth is bringing back show demos and Sherry is pleased to be doing a watercolour demo with a palette knife at Framed on Fifth. This is a free event for all. Event on Saturday, Sept 17 from 12 – 3pm
