Elan Fine Art is proud to present a collection of 20th century photographs including pioneering figures in photographic history whose work has shaped the understanding of the medium for future generations.
Featuring modernist works from Group f/64 artists Ansel Adams and Edward Weston to the zen-mysticism influenced Minor White and Robert Bourdeau, the exhibition celebrates traditional processes of anologue printing and the tactile beauty that connects these movements. Continuing in this tradition, Sheila Metzner’s flowers and cityscapes employ the classic Fresson and Platinum processes in a return to the Pictorialist style of the early 20th century and the influences of Julia Margaret Cameron.
