November is a very special month at Framed on Fifth. We are very proud to present "A FLAIR TO LAYER” by Sheila Brinsmead. This is the first solo show of Sheilas’ amazing career. After having seven children, getting a Bachelor of “Laundry” as a result, Sheila returned to her first love, painting. Her flair for colour, playful brush work and naturalistic collage techniques explode in her landscapes, flowers and abstracts. Having been inspired by Turners’ English landscapes, his colour and freedom of expression she developed her original style.
Sheila will be present at the opening reception Friday November 6 from 6 pm to 9 pm. Please come join us to meet this amazing woman. Her magnetic smile is only surpassed by her exuberance for helping encourage up and coming artists. She is a hearty supporter of the Calgary Sketch Club, has enjoyed numerous workshops and explored many techniques. This is your chance to not only experience her work but also have a one of a kind interaction with this lovely woman. The show runs from November 3 - 28.
