A beautiful show featuring paintings of Galiano Island -the beaches, the forests, the paths, by two sisters - Betsy & Susie Fairbrother.
Painted after visiting each site, the paintings are recalled by the artists and then painted - a subconscious way to filter out the unnecessary and put down on canvas the outstanding features and spirit of the place.
Also, ceramics by Laurie Maccallum who refers to the environment around her, the seashore, tree branches, surfaces of pebbles in her gorgeous ceramic pieces.
