We're thrilled to welcome Ananda Dhama to our Gallery. As the fifth generation of a family of designers, she blends the techniques of old masters with modern technologies in her paintings. Her blue collection is currently on display in the gallery.
Ananda Dharma dedicated special time to creating this collection, recalling the wide territories around Vancouver. These landscapes emphasize the connection with the surrounding environment, harmoniously intertwining urban and wild scenes. They are united not only by a colour palette but also by a specific time of day. In each painting, you can see that the main role is given to the influence of sunlight. Similar to how a sunlit desert beach after the rain is coloured with a sense of freshness, the appearance of playing children in nature fills this place with joy. For this reason, Ananda added characters to some paintings, serving as a focal point for viewers.
Despite the academic technique of these paintings, they look simple and light, letting you gaze into the endless distance. The ability to combine traditional painting skills with a modern style is a distinctive feature of Ananda Dhama, as she was an architect in the past. For this reason, all the paintings look great in both classical and modern interiors.
We invite you to immerse yourself in these fragments of peace and take one of them with you to preserve this feeling and return to it again and again.
