Art Auction called “Art - Out with the Old”

Whistler’s White Dog Studio Gallery announces that they will hold a novel and entertaining art auction called “Art - Out with the Old” from December 29, 2012 to January 3, 2013.  The sale will be held at White Dog’s studio gallery at 1074 Millar Creek Road, in Whistler’s Function Junction district.

Gallery owner Penny Eder states “many of our clients tell us they would like to purchase new works, but they have too much art on their walls already.  Though they may have fallen out of love with their existing art, they don’t know how to sell it.  We’re giving them that chance and creating an opportunity for other art lovers to add to their collection. Who knows what we’ll find – and we’ll have a lot of fun!”

Participants are invited to bring their works to the Gallery for evaluation prior to the auction date.  The silent auction will take place over several days, with consignors able to set minimum bid prices.  Consignors are invited to bring paintings and sculpture, though not prints or posters.  Historical photographs of Whistler are also of interest.
