Artist Book Making Workshop by ONE NIGHT STAND and Also As Well Too

ONE NIGHT STAND & Also As Well Too are hosting an artist book making workshop July 24th at 2:00 PM in TRUCK's U-Hall Community Space (Upstairs in our Main Space) as part of their Western Canadian Tour called Wandering Albatross.

The book making workshop is FREE & open to the public. Participants are asked to RSVP via programming(at)truck.ca by July 21st at 5:00 PM

Participants are invited to bring books - either their own, or ones they have collected to add to Also As Well Too's collection.

The Wandering Albatross tour is a conglomeration of presentations with language-based expressions at their heart, with the ultimate intent to bring new audiences to different ways of experiencing art than are usually on offer. Participatory, performative, informative, and illuminating (collections), the Tour will make stops in Calgary, Lethbridge, Edmonton, Brandon and Winnipeg.

Working with existing collections of artist books within libraries in these cities, Also As Well Too will offer a display of these descriptively elusive artworks liberated from regular libraries, highlighting the indefineability that defines artist books. Also As Well Too will work with visitors to explore ideas about what makes an artist book an artist book, and encourage the creation of new titles. Additionally, Also As Well Too invites artists to submit collected works of artist books and their own creations to live in the Library's collection in Winnipeg.
