"The works that comprise As We Live and Breathe aspire to express the artist’s very reason for creating art, by taking aim at our daily actions and routines that are the scaffold of our art lives.

Art. It’s the second person present indicative of the verb “to be”.

Art is a way of being and when you make your life art - thou art.

When Art is the center of everything, becoming what we live and breathe, we enrich the concept of being (art), and open the very world to all the things that comprise it. The most humble of objects becomes the center of adoration, a relic of our past and present, poetic and profound.

The world is brimming with art, but it is up to artists to push our vision past the surface of daily life. As We Live and Breathe is a collection of works of artists from and around the Crowsnest Pass that aims focus at the very source of the foundational passion of artists from all walks of life, emerging and seasoned. This exhibition invites you to showcase your explorations of the mundane and ordinary which expresses the very reason you create."
