Portraits: Facing The Image

The Alberta Society of Artists invites all artists residing in Alberta (must be 18 years of age or older) to submit to the travelling exhibition, “Portraits: Facing the Image.”

Overview:

It was once said that all portraiture is self-portraiture, but you may not agree. Does the portrait reveal something about the artist’s self? Show us what “Facing the Image” means for you. The accompanying statement is crucial in explaining how your image fits the theme.

A size limitation of 36" in any direction (the maximum size of the artwork should not be more than 36”x 36”.) Two-dimensional work only. Artworks to be delivered in June to the ASA Gallery in Calgary or the AGA in Edmonton (exact dates TBD).

This show will travel to Edmonton and Drumheller.
