Bill Laing, RCA - "LightFall"

Bill Laing continues to develop concepts of object and narrative. His work focuses on details from his personal history, either isolating objects or setting them into “landscapes” of his own creation. Laing harnesses light, shadows and reflections to evoke a theatrical setting for his story telling. Unabashed by concepts of beauty, he uses translucent colour and iridescent glazes to transform images from his everyday life into evocative vignettes.
