Following the success of our plein air paint outs, the Federation is hosting a very special Canada Day plein air paint out and party.

Painting from the industrial crane pad, across from the Federation Gallery, artists will join Sonia Mocnik as you paint the Canada Day crowds, the Federation Gallery Building, the historic Granville Island Hotel, the crane itself, or the view of False Creek from the boardwalk! So many great subject choices for the plein air painter to choose from!

After 5.30PM, when you're done painting for the day, head back to the Gallery where we'll be hosting an exclusive plein air painter Canada day party. Light refreshments will be provided as we mingle, chat about the day and celebrate this great country of ours!

Parking on the island can be very tricky on Canada day, we recommend that you park off island, walk, bike or use transit to join us for the day.

Participation is by donation and all donations will help facilitate the party!
