Centering Ourselves: Works of the Red Deer Pottery Club showcases the depth and breadth of the work created by members of the group. Fifteen diverse individuals come together for this exhibition to share the fruits of their personal creative expression. They have chosen to present a selection of wheel-thrown and hand-built functional, sculptural, and decorative pieces.
Many of the pieces were created at The Contour Studio in the Recreation Center here in Red Deer. Others were made in home studios, and several were glazed during communal raku firings.
The Viewpoint Gallery showcases original works of art by individual artists and collectives, and curated exhibitions. The gallery is in the lobby of the City of Red Deer Culture Services facility. Visit our Viewpoint Gallery page for more information. Hours of operation: Mon - Fri 8:00 am – 4:30 pm; after hours and weekends during scheduled programs.
