In Calgary’s first major international fashion exhibition, visitors will experience a selection of breathtaking fashions ranging from daytime to evening wear for grand occasions. Christian Dior explores the ground-breaking work of one of fashion’s greatest couture houses and a glimpse into the rise of—and shock waves caused by—a fashion icon. Drawing on the first ten years of Christian Dior haute couture, 1947 to 1957, the exhibition includes captivating insights into the creative process, the craft and the business of the fashion industry in Paris during a pivotal time.
