Collective Voices - A Student Art Show 2018

Please join us on Friday, June 1st from 7 to 9, for the Opening Reception and Awards Ceremony where you will have the opportunity to not only meet these talented young artists but also have the opportunity to enjoy music performed by two students.   

Now in its 6th year in partnership with Coast Collective, Collective Voices: A Student Art Show will feature artwork by high school students from the Sooke School District (SD62).  The students, from Westshore, Belmont, and Royal Bay, are in grades 9 to 12, and include those working towards a future in fine arts, to those just wanting to enjoy the creative experience.  

If numbers are anything like last year, the show will feature over 100 works of art in a broad range of media.  Awards will be given out in the following categories: Drawing, Painting, 3D/Sculpture, Printmaking and Mixed Media, First Nations, Digital Art & Photography, and Fiber Art and Textile.  There will also be two Viewer’s Choice awards.
