Desiree Bond states, "I am crazy about plein air painting and am a regular with a local Victoria group the Al Frescoes. It amazes me just how fascinating I find en plein air, and how much I have learned. I love the process. You have to try to decide quickly what to paint, with so many choices." Desiree experiments with different mediums, subject matter and points of view. Her soulful work achieves a fresh and effortless feel.
Lynne Grillmair's love of nature and landscape provides inspiration for her realistically rendered paintings. In recent years she has entered into the foray of plein air painting often joining friends Denise Lemaster and Desiree Bond, well known landscape painters. In 2009, Lynne was chosen to illustrate Sepass Tales for the Sto'lo aboriginal people. In 2006 Lynne achieved Associate Signature Status with the Federation of Canadian Artists.
Join us for the opening reception Thursday, September 5 from 6-8pm.
