FISHMAS has been an annual celebration for Doug Madill/Madillustration Design Inc. and will be making its return this year to Bay 1 Gallery. 

Doug Madill has been creating, illustration & painting since he can remember. He trained for 4 years in Visual Communications at the internationally recognized ACAD (Now, Alberta University of the Arts) in Calgary and has operated his award winning design communication studio, Madilllustration Design inc. for over 30 years.

As owner of this studio, Doug would throw an annual open house (FISHMAS) for his clients, customers and collectors of his art. With a deep appreciation and love for fishing, Doug chose fish as a theme for his corporate visuals, right down to his MDI logo! 

As covid changed many things for many people, this annual "celebration" was put on hold...until now! As, Doug created more fine art style imagery with his paintings, he wanted to reintroduce “FISHMAS” to his new & existing clients & collectors!  There will be a plethora of classic FISHMAS mouth watering wings & ribs and a gallery full of Doug's original tasty pastel paintings on display. (Vegan options will also be available and no actual fish will be served)

If you can't make the reception, the artist will be in attendance again, Saturday the 10th from 12 - 3 pm. The show will run until Dec. 17th during regular gallery hours. We hope you can come by to see his unique style of live edge pastel art. Join us at a FISHMAS like you've never experienced before!
