We are excited to showcase an incredible array of drawings by a preeminent group of visual artists from Kinngait. These depictions of Northern scenes, Arctic animals, and legendary Inuit characters seamlessly blend traditional and modern elements, capturing the ongoing convergence of worlds in the contemporary Inuit experience.
These rich and captivating artworks stem from a lengthy legacy of illustration in Kinngait, tracing its origins to the inception of the graphics program in the mid 1950s. Initially created to supplement the print program, these drawings gradually evolved into cherished artworks in their own right.
