The Esplanade presents an exhibition of large-scale oil on canvas portraiture of change-making, trail-blazing, life-saving women. A tribute like this has never before been seen! Portraits include the award winning musician Serena Ryder, a breast cancer survivor changing the way we look at scars, an Olympic gold medalist, a 65 year young model breaking new ground in the industry, the courageous Dr. Blasey Ford & Anita Hill, a celebrated New York/Paris designer, Gloria Steinem, Buffy Sainte Marie, and so many more.
TIME Magazine cover artist Shana Wilson (Edmonton, AB) has partnered with the successful and empowering social platform and publication For Women Who Roar, to create this series of portraits. Shana has painted inspirational women from all walks of life, inclusive of all cultures and orientations, to be exhibited at galleries in major cities. The subjects all have one thing in common; the ability to inspire and create social change.
