Upcycling Port Moody’s Heritage: Port Moody Heritage Society Canadian Pacific Gallery
Museums usually restore and preserve artifacts for display and use as originally created, but for the celebration of their 50th anniversary, the Heritage Society invited artists to transform old materials and unwanted products into art pieces that are beautiful, functional, humorous and fun.
Lines and Shapes of Korea: Clay for You Korean Potters Group Suncor Gallery, Ann Kitching Gallery
Master potter Clay Jung Hong Kim, and members of “Clay for You”, have created exquisite porcelain and celadon wares for their 15th annual exhibition. The artists use centuries old carving and painting techniques and their work reflects the beauty, form and function of traditional Korean pottery.
