"Escape" | Gisa Mayer

The best way to escape all my worries, big and small is to go to the mountains. I just want to ski, run, hike, bike, and leave everything behind. My only concerns become those of the moment, stay balanced on a rocky trail, find the deepest powder, jump into a lake so cold it takes your breath away. In my studio, I pour all those feelings of being free, onto the canvas. Hopefully looking at the paintings will let you break free for a little while and give you an escape as well.

"Illuminations of the Soul" | Aldo Marchese

It has been said that man can live for weeks without food, for days without water, moments with no air, and seconds without thinking; but the instant he stops imagining, he dies.

My work is an homage to life’s many aspects and expresses my spiritual values and choices.  It deals with dreams, nature, and recollections of past experiences as well as the present.  I make sense of these experiences by translating them into visual images.
