"Go Figure" – Mark the Date

 Local Artist Nicholas Pearce will be featuring his unique style of painting at the Mary Winspear Centre at 2243 Beacon Avenue West, Sidney, BC.

You will immediately notice Nicholas’ focus on women – evidence of the love, respect and connection he feels and transfers to all his work. His passion for painting is inspired by women and he finds joy in their beauty, strength, sensuality and artistry – from the nude to the sensuous dance of flamenco. Teaching other painters what he’s learned has added to that passion and expanded his own art.

Showing alongside Nicholas is a cross section of artists who have mentored under Nicholas, learning to paint using a 1 1/2” house painters brush and limited palette of four colours and white. Nicholas offers several workshops every year including a unique course, “Through Artists' Eyes – seeing your body as a work of art,” for women who want to find out more about themselves by learning to appreciate the beauty of their own bodies through modelling and painting. You will be inspired, not only by the beauty of Pearce’s paintings, but by the way he captures the light and essence of the subject and passion of the artist. Also inspiring are the paintings by his students. All paintings on display are created during Pearce’s workshops and/or are created using the 1 ½” painters brush and his limited palette.
