Good Enough Documentation Workshop

Good documentation is the finest long-term investment you can make in your art practice. While having excellent images of your work is great, getting a professional photographer to your studio is not always feasible, especially if you are on a tight budget or have a tighter deadline. This session was designed with both of these factors in mind. You’ll learn how to capture quick pics for a speedy turnaround, as well as fundamental facts regarding digital photographs. We will examine the optimization of images captured with smartphones, point-and-shoot cameras, and consumer-grade DSLRs, as well as low-cost equipment alternatives for creating your own setup. The fundamentals of archiving and alternate forms of documentation will also be covered. Together, we will abandon greatness in favour of more attainable goals!
Please bring a writing tool and notebook for taking notes as well as your laptop, smartphone and/or camera(s) if you’d like to play along.
