Opening Reception: December 4th, 1:30 - 3:30 pm
The group of Chinese brush painters meets weekly at Goward House, painting various traditional subjects such as bamboo, pandas, plum blossom, orchids, landscapes and of course all the animals of the Chinese zodiac, including the tiger, this year’s designated honoree.
The scroll of 100 tigers to be shown at the reception was painted by artist Barbara Mekelburg and additional tigers are included in the show. Other artists featured in this year’s show are Arlene Davey, Ann Gibbard, Barbara Downie, and John Hart.
