In conjunction with the 2022 edition of Exposure Photography Festival, The GRAND presents Mino-Pimatisiwin: Reclaiming the “Good Life”, curated by Autumn Whiteway (“Night Singing Woman”). An exhibition dedicated to the resurgence of Indigenous Culture, Mino-Pimatisiwin is a Cree concept that describes how the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual come together to create balance and harmony in one's life.
Mino-Pimatisiwin: Reclaiming the "Good Life" features the work of 25 Indigenous photographers from across Turtle Island, who represent this concept through images of connection to cultural practice, the land, and kin relationships (including non-human kin).
Mino-Pimatisiwin: Reclaiming the "Good Life" will be open to the public in The GRAND’s historic lobby (608 1st Street SW) February 3rd to 26th, Thursday - Saturday, 11:00AM - 3:00PM, free of charge. Please see https://www.thegrandyyc.ca/covid19-policy for up to date COVID-19 policies.
