The Alberta Society of Artists is proud to present the group exhibition Home & Migration featuring the work of sixteen Alberta artists: Bonnie Scott, Cynthia Cabrera, Sharon Lensen, Mona Sahi, Deborah Lougheed Sinclair, Asal Andarzipour, Ricardo Copado, Tatianna O’Donnell, Shea Proulx, Mitra Samavaki, Liz Sullivan, Sharon Rubuliak, Eleanor P. Boyden, E.Ross Bradley, Sahar Hakimi, and Ting Pimentel-Elger.
“Artists are asked to think about location, place, and where home is. Is the idea of “home” a physical place, an emotional place, or both? “Home” may connect to nostalgia, one’s formative years, or to a settled place of ‘now’. How has the feeling of home changed with migration and with the diaspora of a community?”
