Laura and Terry Bachynski have made it a practice to donate a portion of every sale of their art to charity. On November 24th, the couple will be showing their works in Calgary for the first time. The show will include original watercolours and acrylic paintings and will be available for viewing and purchase. Landscapes, still life's, figures and abstracts in all sizes, large and small, will be on view. Paintings have been professionally framed by Kamena Galleries of Edmonton and are ready for hanging in your home or office.
Many of Laura's paintings explore the details of life and our surroundings. Her ability to translate that detail to the canvas draws you into her scenes of everyday events like a mother and son drawing in the sand on the beach, the delicacy of vintage lace and fine china or the toll taken by the passage of time on an abandoned truck.
Terry draws much of his inspiration from the vast Alberta landscape. His large canvases express the expanse of the Alberta sky in all of its moods and include paintings of great banks of clouds rolling over mountains and prairie as well as whimsical interpretations and impressions of prairie images.
Please come and join Terry and Laura at the Winston Heights Mountainview Community Hall for some wine, conversation and sharing of their artistic efforts.
An original work of art is an excellent idea for Christmas.
