Nancy-lynne Hughes exhibits her phenomenal acrylic and watercolour paintings describing everything “tree” and the places they inhabit, in her characteristic style . A well respected and sought after art instructor for over 25 years she is currently teaching at Kensington Art Supplies, Calgary and the Wheatland Society of Arts, Strathmore.

“I’m intrigued by a place, the light, the air, the structure, the textures and colours. I pause and time seems suspended as I enjoy a moment of connection and fascination with this place. I capture this moment with camera and/or a quick sketch. It’s mine now. The seed of a painting.

The images presented in this show have grown from those seedlings. I hope they will be as engaging, fascinating and intriguing for you as they were for me.”
