A solo exhibition featuring new work by Jim Davies, Splinter, Wash, and Walls. Jim Davies (MFA 1979, University of Alberta) works from the tradition of landscape painting within the Canadian context: painting for 35 years in Alberta, his work reflects the ambiguity felt about a land of beauty, and of use.

“The work in this exhibition explores new terrain and the suggestion of narrative. My goal is to make these images, which suggest mountain settings, atmospheric and representational without being site specific. I explore my subject matter in terms of elevation, depth of field, and dramatic contrast in lighting.” - Jim Davies
