ARTIST RECEPTION & TALK ~ Saturday June 1, 1-4 pm
CKG is pleased to announce an exhibition of new metal sculpture by Calgary-based creative Joanne MacDonald. Joanne has exhibited her work extensively within the Calgary arts community and a number of her commissioned works can be spotted in and around Calgary - most recently/notably a large sculpture was commissioned for the new BMO Expansion at The Calgary Stampede, opening in June of this year.
“I believe that art is alchemy. In this show, “Alchemy of Art,” I explore the alchemical process of creation, turning base metals into objects of beauty and meaning. Each piece is a fusion of imagination, passion and skill - reflecting the interplay of the natural world and human creativity. Through my art I invite viewers to experience these forms forged by fire and force; to contemplate the endless possibilities of growth and transformation.”
