“As science, technology, and digital media continue to influence the trajectory of contemporary art, my painting practice addresses the space where simulated abstraction becomes hyperreality. Abstractly rendered depth transcends the two dimensions of the surface, while conflicting illusions and disparate media reference a dimension beyond the third.” - Laura Payne
