to
The Grace Campbell Gallery 125 12 St E, Prince Albert, Saskatchewan S6V 1B7
The show is a two artist collaboration that mixes modern and conventional styles.
A certain feeling of serenity and belonging is revealed as you look at Angie Hempel's paintings and sculptural works. The visuals seem to be calling to your spirit. Pulling you forward to a closer relationship with nature with brilliant moving imagery created with a varied palette of vibrant colors. She is an artist who's creations delight the eye and reawaken that which may be dormant within us.
Angie was raised on a ranch near Goodsoil in Northwestern Saskatchewan. Surrounded by thick wooded hills and numerous lakes so common to this scenic part of the province she became interested in artistic expression as a child. Her unique style has attracted the attention of collectors all over Canada and the USA.
Bonnie Bailey lives and works in rural Prince Albert in her pottery studio surrounded by the Boreal forest where much of her inspiration comes from. Drawing on the color, texture and movement of the flora of her surroundings she presents this first time exhibition of her work in paintings.
