Nickle Noon: MHST 533 Practicum Student Presentations
Thursday, December 9 - 12:00 PM
MHST 533 – Practicum in Museum and Heritage Studies is intended as the capstone course in UCalgary’s undergraduate minor program in MHST. It is an opportunity for students to gain valuable experience working in the sector, connecting class-room theory with real-life, experiential learning. It is also a chance to reflect upon the working environments, challenges, and opportunities that are present within the field of Museum and Heritage Studies. Students commit 80 hours of voluntary work on projects related to their interests and skills as well as hosts’ needs.
Fall 2021’s students have engaged in practicums at a variety of institutions including: Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame, The New Gallery, Telus Spark etc.
This will be a free, ONLINE event.
