This exhibition explores the tradition of marine painting, an invaluable record of human design and invention, great battles and sailings throughout history. Artists including Samuel Walters,Vilhelm Arnesen, Haughton Forrest, Carl Martin Soya-Jensen, and John A. Hammond capture the grandeur of the voyage and experiment with the illusionistic effects of water and sky. Showing alongside this exhibition is a selection of fine antiques and objet d’art.
