A precarious journey into changing climates of uncertainly through paintings, sculpture and mixed media works by artists Michele Campbell and Lori Zébière. It is only through honest self-reflection of our prevailing cultural attitudes, motives and environmental practices that the challenging process of evolving, adapting and innovating will occur.

MICHELE CAMPBELL – (Beausejour, MB) Raising a family of three and working full time, Michele would always find time to sharpen her talents. The last 10 years Michele has been taking lessons from Milos Milidrag. He has been such an inspiration for her.
During Christmas 2011 a lot of media attention was on the plight of the polar bears because their habitat was disappearing. Being passionate about the bears and environment Michele had to express herself. Placing a Dodo bird in some of the pictures was just the way the media made her feel.
Ever since I can remember I have always loved art and nature. It is so great being able to put the two together.
LORI ZÉBIÈRE – (GARSON QUARRY, MB) Ontario born, Lori has made Manitoba her home since 1994. In 2007 she began her art education under the guidance of professional artist and mentor Milos Milidrag and 2011 found her selected as one of four participants in the Manitoba Arts Network Rural Art Mentorship Program led by mentors Jazz de Montigny and Cameron Forbes. The RAMP/MAWA experience inspired Lori to take up part-time studies at the University of Manitoba’s School of Art where she is currently working toward her BFA.
