The creeks and rivers around us uplift Stephen and spur his oil paintings. Growing up, in South Africa, reading National Geographic magazine and watching documentaries, he always associated clean, clear-flowing water with Canada. Taking time to observe and note what happens in the water is the genesis and inspiration of his work ... our rivers rock!
