Vancouver’s unique fine art exhibition opens May 5-7th at 1000 Parker Street

The salon-style exhibition of painting and sculpture takes place in the iconic 1000 Parker Street Studios, where the hallways are magically transformed and the rugged warehouse becomes an elegant fine art exhibition, with music, food and wine.

Building on the huge success of the previous two years, this year the Salon will include more than 50 artists presenting their best work on two floors of the warehouse, made famous by its presence in the Eastside Culture Crawl.

Friday night is the Grand Opening Reception and soiree. Under the chandeliers, art lovers can mingle, schmooze, and enjoy some wonderful music and finger food while having first dibs on all the exhibited works.

Tickets for the reception are $20, available March 1st TIX FOR OPENING RECEPTION and at the event. Ticket price includes one drink and an exhibition catalogue. Proceeds from the ticket sales and “Small Art Exhibit” will go to the Anxiety Disorders Association of BC (Anxiety BC) www.anxietybc.com

On Saturday and Sunday afternoons, the Salon will be free and open to the general public from 12 – 4 pm. Over the course of the weekend, PARKER ART SALON will feature artist talks, chance encounters in artist studios and more.
