Patricia Johnston presents her fifth solo exhibition at West End Gallery. Capturing arresting images of the West Coast, Patricia's paintings are almost photographic in quality while still maintaing a painterly effect. Her mastery and sensitivity to colour is extraordinary and enables her to layer paint in a way no other artist can. Inspired by the poignancy and beauty of a single moment she can hold a vision in her minds eye long enough to translate it to canvas. Dramatic sunsets, crashing waves and miles of sandy West Coast beaches offer magnetic vistas drawing each viewer further into the landscape.
