Opening Reception on Friday, September 1 from 5-7pm
Once again, Yukon Artists at Work Society (YAAW) members are coming together in a new exhibition entitled Portrayal. The group show, which will run throughout September, features works portraying people, places or things that stimulate the imagination and artistic vision of the participants.
There’ll be work in the exhibit by at least 16 members of YAAW.
“Expect to see a wide variety of interpretations of the theme,” promises co-curator Neil Graham. “There’ll be everything from traditional paintings in acrylic, oils and watercolour, to jewelry, fabric sculptures, and creations in glass.”
“Neil and I are very excited to see the artwork as it is coming into the gallery,” says Linda Leon, who is the other co-curator of the exhibit. “We encourage members of the public to support their favourite artists and come see what promises to be a visual feast.”
