prOphecy sun: Queering the Dams

The dams and the hydroelectric power generators of the Kootenay river provide immense amounts of electricity and royalties to surrounding communities while protecting from flooding and drought. They continually flow, burst, store, block, channel, and power existing and speculative realities. Queering the Dams documents a series of interactions with the landscape that generate new narratives and unsettle our relationship with industrial infrastructure. prOphecy sun explores these tensions and contradictions through ecological acts of care – melding landscape, body, and technology in new temporal, filmic, and sonic ways.
