Barbara Edwards Contemporary is pleased to present Canadian artist Shawn Evans, our first addition to the BEC Platform roster. Emerging from his early influences in abstract expressionism, Evans found his own abstraction in architecture and the landscape of cities. Working from his collection of personal photographs, his paintings capture the complexities of urban spaces combined with the shifting perspectives of eroding memory.
