The West End Gallery is pleased to present a solo exhibition of new works by Shi Le opening on Saturday, November 23rd from 1pm – 4pm.
Shi Le was born in China and is now a Toronto based artist and an art educator. Influenced deeply by the Group of Seven, Shi immerses himself in natural beauty and translates his feelings onto canvas through the use of colorful visual elements. Shi's landscape paintings depict scenes of the pastoral beauty around Southern Ontario, full of dancing sunlight and with use of a pointillist technique that produces a uniformly textured canvas surface.
