Toronto-based artist Susan Collett is internationally recognized for her innovative paper clay sculptures which push the boundary between strength and fragility to a state just shy of collapse. Her exhibition "Florid" will feature new sculptures from her Aggregate series alongside blind-embossed monoprints from her Collected suite.
“Where my previous [sculptural] series explored a body scale relationship based on the vessel… this new work challenges my own approach and perceptions and moves away from the vessel, exploring disorder in a complex stacking of abstract passageways.”
