In an effort to make a small gesture or repair through the melding of embroidery and environmental concerns, MEND is composed of pieces fabricated from discarded plastic objects found during the pandemic, drilled and threaded with masonry twine. There are two additional pieces, “Healing Hands”, which follows from MEND which further examines the relationships between the body and the lunar cycle, and “Thalamus”, about the natural symmetry, beauty and the sacredness of life.
