Paul Kuhn Gallery is pleased to present an exhibition of recent textiles and new paintings by the Los Angeles multi-disciplinary artist, Tanja Rector. Tanja’s textile works have been featured in past shows at the gallery. The new textile works are featured with a new body of oil paintings based on gesture. This sets up an interesting juxtaposition between the textiles which are clean and geometric whereas the oil paintings are built up compositions of scribbles and gestures. Given the differences between these two bodies of work, Rector's nuanced sensitively prevails.
