Join us for the Beatnik Café featuring the Jim Findlay Band & Guests and The Suitable Men – January 30th at 7:00 p.m. This is a jam session, so bring your instruments, poems and tunes! Everyone is welcome.
In partnership with Festival Place, Gallery@501 will be presenting "Beat Generation." A selection of artworks (Frank Stella, Jean-Paul Riopelle, Jules Olitski, Toni Onley, Marion Nicoll, Ted Godwin, and more) that were created in the 1950s and 1960s during the Beatnik Counter Culture movement.
A musical performance by P.J. Perry Quartet on January 24 and a poetry reading by Canadian Slam Poet Champion Brendan McLeod on February 1 will take place at Festival Place.
