First Friday Red Deer is January 6 from 5:30 to 7:30 pm.  Refreshments served.  The artists will be in attendance. 

Sharon Wright sees a floral connection between women and the natural world. She is fascinated with portraying women of all ages in all facets of their life, especially rendered in the style of female floral artists from the past. Sharon’s impressionistic style and colour choices tie her figure paintings beautifully and cohesively to her still-life floral works that are combined in her upcoming show at the Kiwanis Gallery.

This body of work is in large part a celebration of the strength of women. Sharon hopes that busy working women will find a moment of celebration and recognize the strength they have as they view the paintings. This collection has had a strong emotional impact on Sharon, and she hopes it will on the viewer as well.
